Hot spots in Silverlight 2 – Updated!

This post is out of date: check this one out!

After i posted my little prototype image with hot spots, I decided to go back into it and make it a bit nicer and high tech.

I used an image of my brother and I at AUReMIX 08 in Melbourne and made us the hot spots. Just using simple bits of C# code to call the animations and change the visibility parameter from visible to collapsed, I think it turned out pretty cool.

I used the vector tool to create specific hot spots around the people so that the hovers are very precise.

And a simple little on/off button to show a little information about the test.

What do you think? Would love some feedback.

Nice one, I like the focus on the mouse over, adds a nice touch to get the users full attention on the subject.

Very nice effect Alex. I was almost expecting the point of view to rotate and have you in 3d ;)
I wonder what a tiny bit of zooming in on the subject would look like on focus? Maybe too much? You may have it just right already.

Thanks! It wouldn’t hurt to try a little bit of a zoom on the subject, could confuse the user a little if everything starts moving around though.
